The State of Colorado CO Department of Labor and Employment Elevator Section oversees all elevators in the State of Colorado. The Colorado Elevator Safety program requires that the installation, alteration, maintenance and inspection of elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters and wheelchair lifts throughout Colorado is completed according to industry codes and standards adopted in statute and regulations.
